Professor Ansari specializes in optical fiber sensors for structural health monitoring. He has designed monitoring systems for major bridges worldwide, including the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges in New York, and several in China and Italy. His research spans structural engineering, sensor technology, and forensic investigations, including the post-collapse analysis of the Morandi Bridge in Genoa, Italy.
